General information regarding the Federal government's COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
Wonolo is on a mission to make work flexible and fulfilling for everyone.
As noted above, the U.S. Supreme Court has blocked the Federal vaccine-or-testing mandate for large businesses with 100 or more employees.
In light of this development, Wonolo customers are encouraged to review the “Key to NYC” mandate’s requirements to ensure they are in compliance starting on December 27, 2021. Keep in mind, Wonolo offers the COVID-19 Vaccination Badge as a platform feature to help connect vaccinated Wonoloers to jobs posted by customers that require the COVID-19 Vaccination Badge. However, Wonolo does not guarantee, through the COVID-19 Vaccination Badge or otherwise, the vaccination status or validity of any vaccination documentation of any Wonoloer. Customers can verify for themselves the vaccination status and/or documentation of the Wonoloers who accept their jobs, but it is recommended that customers include this requirement in their job requests posted on the Wonolo platform.

As of Thursday, January 13th, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court has blocked the Federal vaccine-or-testing mandate for large businesses with 100 or more employees, while endorsing a separate Federal vaccine requirement for healthcare facilities. With the above being stated, it is crucial to note that state and local governments (such as New York City), or even businesses, have and/or will potentially implement their own vaccine or testing mandates.
UPDATE - “KEY TO NYC” MANDATE (12/20/2021): Bill de Blasio, the mayor of New York City, has implemented a city-wide vaccination mandate, called the “Key to NYC” mandate. The requirements in this localized mandate are more comprehensive than the federal mandate. Read more here.
