Let’s meet Rolf!
Hi, I’m Rolf Ieuter. I’m Wonolo’s Senior Director of revenue, strategy, and operations. I’ve been working at Wonolo for just about three years now and I am located in the Bay Area in California.
What is one perk of working from home at Wonolo that you really appreciate?
My favorite work-from-home perk is that my mornings are way more relaxing now, as opposed to sprinting to catch a train so that I beat all the traffic on my commute. I can now wake up, have a cup of coffee, read a book, and listen to a podcast before I log on for the day.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who has never worked remotely before?
The advice I would give is to spend time getting to know your co-workers. Take five minutes at the beginning or end of your meetings to just learn about them personally. It’s really nice to have a team spread across the U.S. I’ve learned so much about different cities and different areas and different things to do. It really helps break up the back-to-back zoom meetings.
What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without?
A piece of work from home equipment that I could not live without, as you could probably tell is my whiteboard. It was the first thing I installed when I moved into this new apartment, and it’s something that I use daily. I use it for my own projects. I use it in team meetings to jam through projects with the project managers or folks on my team. As you can imagine, it frequently also becomes my grocery list and personal to-do list.
