Wonolo
I’m Dalisia and am a Wonoloer in Dallas! I was living in Salt Lake City for 20 years and really needed a change, so that’s why I moved to Texas with my son. I didn’t know anybody, which was exciting and scary at the same time! I heard about Wonolo on social media pretty soon after I moved to Texas. I was able to make an income as soon as we moved to support us, and I met a lot of new people during that time.
My first Wonolo job was amazing. It was a job that was originally for a couple of days, but the Requestor saw how hard I worked and asked if I could stay on longer. I jumped on the opportunity because I just had moved and needed the income. Getting the work so quickly after we moved made the transition much smoother. We found a great place to live. My son got to join local groups to meet kids in the neighborhood. Overall, the timing couldn’t have been better!
Eventually, I found a full-time job through Wonolo, which is where I work now. It was great to be a Wonoloer first because I got the inside scoop of the operations and the culture of the team. Of course, I loved working here, so I was really happy when I was offered a full-time role. I still work extra Wonolo gigs on the side. I am able to save up some extra money, and hope to buy a new car soon!
Moving to Texas and finding a job through Wonolo has helped me become independent. I don’t rely on anyone else to provide for me and my son, and that feels amazing! I’m at a point in my life where I just want to see people happy and thriving. If I can help get someone to that point, then I want to do that! My goal now is to head back into the medical field, so I’m saving up to start going to nursing school to become an RN. I am a Wonoloer because I can create the dream life I’ve always wanted.
