Let’s meet Erin!

Hey, I’m Erin DeLucas and I’m located in Nashville, Tennessee. I work with our sales development reps at Wonolo.

What events in your life have brought you to your current role today?

I had been in the marketing game for a minute and I had always worked in really traditional marketing settings at big companies. I’ve worked on big teams and smaller teams, but I have always been drawn to building something and that’s what really appealed to me at Wonolo. I was going to help build out the marketing and Sales Development Representative functions and do it at a company that’s making an impact in this world, which you don’t always get to say. It was really exciting to combine this desire to build something from scratch and do it at a company that’s making an impact on this world.

Who do you look up to and why do you look up to them?

I have been very fortunate to have strong female leaders in the course of my career who have helped shape who I am as a professional. They blazed the trail for me to get to where I am today. I’m eternally grateful for those individuals and also, I respect and admire the fact that they’re giving back to women who are developing their careers. I hope that I get to do the same for the women coming up behind me. I’ve always really looked up to my female leadership that I’ve been fortunate to get to work with. I also look up to my parents. They’re extremely hardworking. They taught me my work ethic and my tenacity. They gave me and my brother the best life that they absolutely could, and that’s something I admire.

What is one of your favorite memories at Wonolo?

When I started at Wonolo, the team was just my manager, Susan, and myself. About three months into my tenure, we added three more individuals to our team and we all went to San Francisco. We got to hang out, and we went out for the night. Little did we know it was just a couple of weeks later and Covid started. We began our work from home stent, which hasn’t ended yet. That night was just a really fun time! We connected quickly as a team and have continued to build on that. We’ve become really close friends despite working remotely from each other. It’s a great memory that I have. I feel like we’re close to being able to meet in person again, so I look forward to making more memories with them in the future. However, I feel very grateful that we at least got to have that experience.

If you really knew me, you would know that…

This is so silly, but it’s just true! Every day after I drop my kids off at daycare in school, I get Chick-fil-a. They know my name and they know my order. They’re my friends. 🙂 It’s just become a habit and I’m addicted to it. I have no idea why. I love my Chick-fil-a and I’m their #1 advocate at this point. So if you know me, you’ll know that I do that every single morning.
