Wonolo

Please introduce yourself.

Hi there! I’m Amanda Long and I’m a Regional Sales Manager here at Wonolo out of our Nashville office. My team focuses on strategically partnering with companies in the East Coast to help support their growth initiatives by stabilizing their front-line labor. We connect our community of local Wonoloers to the companies that need them.

What events in your life have brought you to your current role today?

I entered the sales world five years ago, after graduating from the University of Tennessee (go Vols). I’ve sold in a variety of industries, from staffing to digital advertising, but the most important aspect of my success is genuinely believing in what I’m selling. I’ve never felt so passionate and connected to a product offering as I do about Wonolo. I love everything about this company: our leadership, our mission, our team, our product, our Wonoloers, and our customers. I started as a Mid-Market Account Executive a little over a year ago and worked my way into being able to lead a team of amazing account executives. I’m beyond thankful to be here and I owe all of my success to my team!

When you have to make a difficult decision, what do you lean on?

When making a difficult decision, I think it’s important to blend together logic and empathy. I strategically think through exactly what it is that I’m deciding, understand what the potential impacts that decision will have, and let my relevant experience guide my instincts from there. It’s important to make sure that your intentions are pure when making tough decisions so that you can confidently stand behind your choices.

What is one life advice you can give to anyone?

“Always move forward, whether it’s an inch at a time or a mile.” I think in life it can be really easy to sweat the small stuff and find yourself getting hung up on things that can really weigh you down – mentally, emotionally, and physically. No matter how challenging circumstances in life can be, there’s nothing that we can’t get through if we push ourselves to just keep going. My 2020 mantra is to remain present and let tomorrow worry about itself.

Please finish this sentence: If you really knew me, you would know that…

I’m basically a professional hype girl. Not exactly a pro, but I will always cheer on my family, friends, and colleagues. I love to celebrate wins, but I’m also always there to support my people when things get tough as well. There’s nothing like seeing the people that you care about thriving. Positive energy is contagious and the world can always use more of it!
