Wonolo

Let’s meet Warren!

Hi I’m Warren Hawkins. I live in Nashville and serve as a Program Manager on the Supply Team. My job involves communicating with the Wonoloer community, ensuring all job sites are safe and respectful places to work, and supporting our technology team in improving our app.

What events in your life have brought you to your current role today?

Prior to Wonolo, I taught math and served an administrator at a public middle school called KIPP Nashville College Prep. I loved partnering closely with students and families to work toward shared goals. Much of that work centered around relationship building, strategic planning, and enthusiastic execution all of which translate well to my current role at Wonolo.

When you have to make a difficult decision, what do you lean on?

First and foremost, I rely on my Christian faith and prayer, which is how I start each morning. Beyond that, I seek counsel from trusted advisors, including family, close friends, and mentors, who have perspectives I often lack. When possible, I also try to incorporate data from a macro or micro level, which might shed light on chances of success for a particular decision.

What is one piece of life advice you can give to anyone?

Author James Clear once wrote, “The trajectory of your life bends in the direction of your habits.” There are few things of greater importance than to define the life outcomes you desire and to design daily habits that align with those outcomes. Whether it’s health, finances, or family, everyone has outcomes they’re working toward.

If you really knew me, you would know that…

I tried to think of something my roommate would know about me that others wouldn’t. I am a very consistent Seinfeld watcher. Most days at 5:30, I grab my dinner and watch a 30 minute episode. I don’t have a good reason, I just think it’s funny.
